This is a vintage dustbin designed by Isamu Kenmochi for Yamakawa Rattan (now YMK Rattan). A representative work of Japanese modern design, the original pieces from that time are extremely rare. Designed in 1961 by Isamu Kenmochi, who was commissioned for the interior design of the Hotel New Japan during the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Size: H: approx. 41cm Φ: approx. 33cm *There seems to be a slight difference in size compared to current models, possibly due to aging. Condition: This item has been used for many years. The bamboo part of the opening has some peeling, and while the rattan shows signs of use on the inside, the outside is turning amber and has aged nicely. Please refrain from purchasing if you are seeking perfection or do not understand vintage furniture, as this is a personal inspection.
