Thank you for viewing. This is a single-layered antique kimono. It's a rare crepe-de-chine (ジョーゼット) visiting kimono. The design features a wonderful collection of summer motifs: flowing water (観世流水), morning glories, bellflowers, bush clovers, pinks, irises, arrowhead plants, fireflies, and fans. As a visiting kimono, the pattern covers the entire garment, with very little plain space. This type of design is quite rare, making it perfect for those seeking a華やかな (gorgeous/vibrant) piece. Embroidery is applied in places, and gold leaf is used generously. I have kept it in my collection without wearing it, but I would like to offer it to someone who appreciates it. The condition is very good for an antique, but there is one spot on the collar. It can be partially hidden by folding and is not very noticeable when worn due to the dark color. There are also two other spots, both on the lining. Please only consider purchasing if you are accustomed to antiques, as it is not new. The size is also quite large for an antique, and it's very rare to find a single-layered kimono of this dark color that has survived without fading. Also, the crepe-de-chine material itself is unusual, so if you are looking for a rare and fashionable summer garment, please consider it.
