This is an Akita Kawatsura lacquerware "pure gold chinkin (gold inlay) otoso (ceremonial sake) set." It is handmade and hand-painted wooden hon-urushi (genuine lacquer) ware. The packaging has a seal that says "Hon-shu" (genuine vermillion) and is made of Japanese paper. It feels light and warm in your hands, and has a very gentle, pleasant scent of wood. My mother, who loves lacquerware, bought this and admired it. There is only one thing: the silver-colored metal fittings on both sides of the otoso. Please check the images. I think it is very light tin. (I don't think it's a material that rusts.) There is no problem with the movement. The color is the traditional Japanese "shushu" (vermilion).
