This is a RYZIN pouch from HOKYO JAPAN, a sturdy, thick canvas men's second bag. Toyoho Japan opened in Kyoto in 1996 as the canvas bag brand, Toyoho Tanaka, and continues to this day. This item features a Kamogawa lattice pattern canvas bag with a black flap-pocket as an accent. Inside, there is one pocket with a zipper. The handle is an antique finish combining waxed string and wooden chips, resembling the drum held by the god of thunder (Raijin), hence the product name: RYZIN Pouch. The RYZIN Pouch, though in a different color and pattern, became a hot topic as the bag used by Shogi player Sota Fujii. I used to love it when wearing Japanese clothing, but I don't use it often.
