I believe this belonged to my grandfather, who was a carpenter, so I think it's quite old. The inscription reads "Made by Nakaya Senkichi." As you can see in the photos, there is rust and dirt, but I don't think there are any chips in the blade. The dimensions are: blade length 270mm, total length 635mm.
