This is a nameplate of Kusunoki Masashige, a military commander from the Nanboku-cho period. Kusunoki Masashige was a military commander who served Emperor Go-Daigo and contributed to the overthrow of the Kamakura shogunate. He is also known as "Dainanko" (Great Kusunoki) and is known as a loyal retainer. He was defeated in the Battle of Minatogawa against Ashikaga Takauji and ended his life by committing suicide. The crest at the top of the image is the "Kikusui" crest, the family crest of the Kusunoki clan.
