Shishida-ryu Shinobue Takusui! This is a 7-hon choshi, 6-hole, tenchi tou-maki (top and bottom rattan wrapped), natural color finish! This is a Shishida-ryu Shinobue Takusui crafted by the second-generation flute maker, Chuichi Ito, who inherited the Shishida-ryu style from the late Edo period. It was made in the late Showa era, over 40 years ago. The bamboo is well-dried, giving it a beautiful natural color and a wonderful tone and sound quality, resulting in a superb instrument.
