This is a komon (small pattern) kimono with a geometric diamond-like pattern on a white background. It is a silk lined kimono (awase). It is generally called white Oshima, but it does not have an Oshima certificate. This is a cool kimono with the crisp feel and luster of Oshima Tsumugi. The lining (hakkake) is a refined celadon blue. There are no noticeable stains, but it appears that foundation makeup has gotten on the collar (see photo 12).
