Kamoshita Choko (1890-1967) A Japanese-style painter active from the modern period through the post-war era. He exhibited his works at the Teiten and Bunten exhibitions, and in addition to his focus on figure paintings, he also created numerous magazine illustrations. This work is titled "The Tale of Genji," but as it is outside our area of expertise, we cannot determine its authenticity. For reference, we have attached images of the signature from another work (images 8-9), so please compare them carefully to make your own judgment.
