My parents used to have a dog and now have a cat. There was also a smoker. There is overall yellowing, of course, and the covers and the book bodies are taped together with cellophane tape, leaving tape marks, and the covers are folded. The photos are representative, and it's not just in one place. I don't see any noticeable stains or writing inside, so I think there's no problem with reading them. Please consider purchasing after understanding the condition of the books and the storage situation.
