This is the head of a Japanese giant flying squirrel haniwa (clay figure). It is said to have been excavated in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture. It has been reassembled from several broken pieces. It cannot stand on its own, so a base was created to display it. The height of the main body is 15 cm, the width is 11 cm, and the depth is 13 cm. The thickness of the bottom cross-section is 15 mm. The total height with the base is 26 cm.
