【Retro, Rare】5-bead abacus, 5 beads, 13 digits, Soroban, Abacus, Taisho, Early Showa Era This is a retro abacus that evokes the storefronts of old merchant houses. It is a wooden box-type abacus with 5 beads and 13 digits. It is believed to be from before 1935, as the current abacus (one bead above, four below) was mandated by the Ministry of Education in the Showa 10th year. The bars between the beads have carved characters for tens and hundreds. The beads move smoothly.
