Purchased from an antique kimono specialty store. I was told it was a superb quality crepe from the Taisho era. Two matching kimonos (two of the kimonos in the photos) Perhaps they were worn layered, or maybe twin girls wore them. The sleeves are fastened to prevent them from coming off, so they can be separated by removing the stitches. If the dimensions fit and you don't mind the stains, I think it would be cute to wear them for everyday wear, New Year's, Shichi-Go-San, or the Doll Festival. It's probably a size that can be worn by children around the age of three, depending on the adjustments to the sleeves and hem, but I'm not familiar with children's clothing, so I'm not sure. As it is a very old antique item, there are small stains and discoloration overall, in addition to what is shown in the photos, but it is in a beautiful condition for a Taisho era kimono. There appear to be no noticeable stains or damage. Personally, I feel it is a beautiful antique item, but please purchase it only if you understand old items and antiques. Because of the gorgeous patterns, they are also recommended for interior decoration, display, or as fabric for remaking.
