This is a semi-hard type with boards on the batter and snare-side, offering excellent protection during transport without being as heavy as a hard case. The interior is lined with fur to protect the hardware. I think the inside is quite clean. It's very well-made, with features like studs on the bottom to keep the body elevated when placed on the ground. It's a shame that the fabric deterioration causes endless powder... If you don't mind the powder, or if you can fix the padding with shoe adhesive, etc., how about it? Shipping will be in simple packaging. Only the case body and strap are included.
