This is a teacup from the Seikanji Kiln, run by Shohei Sugita, a master of Kiyomizu-yaki. It is shaped with a slightly square form that tapers towards the base, yet the high level of skill used in its creation makes it appear seamless when viewed from above, without any sense of the outer shape. The pattern is a geometric design drawn with only straight lines, resulting in a teacup that is impressive despite its simplicity. There are no noticeable cracks or chips. Comes with a wooden box.
