Purchased in June 2024. This is a thin, light obi with a crisp texture. This obi is woven with 80% silk thread and 20% hemp thread. The silk warp threads are finely closed in a plain weave, and the hemp threads, arranged at equal intervals in stripes, are woven in a four-harness twill weave, resulting in an obi that combines a textured weave with a supple feel. This is a high-quality single-layer (hitoe) half-width obi from Hakata-ori. Please enjoy it not only with yukata but also with your summer casual outfits.
