Denis Wick is a brand that Roy Hargrove also used, and it produces a wonderful, warm, organic tone. It's similar to a Bach 3C but with more edge, while still retaining the warmth characteristic of Denis Wick, making it an attractive model. The heavy top provides a thicker tone than the regular model. The rim is slightly flatter than a Bach 3C, and the cup feels slightly V-shaped. It would be a good choice for those who find a Bach 3C constricting or who are looking for a tone that doesn't get lost. It has a shape similar to a Monette LT, and the engraving is a very refined, modern design. Heavy top models are not often seen in Japan. Please take this opportunity to try one.
