Copperplate printing involves printing designs engraved on copper plates onto transfer paper and applying them to the surface of the pottery by hand, one by one. All Burleigh products are handmade in England, and there are variations in ink unevenness and the way the transfer paper is applied. This is also part of the deep flavor of Burleigh.
