I'm not certain, but I purchased these around the year 2000 at an authorized retailer in Tokyo. I used them for several years, but haven't worn them much since then. They've been stored in a shoe closet for a long time, and I've aired them out regularly and brushed them about once a year. I was told that they would be in even better condition with a little more cleaner and brushing.
