Antique round trays, set of 2. These are round trays from a set of 25 Wajima-nuri (lacquerware) dining sets made in Wajima City in 1970. Using the techniques of the time, the lacquer was applied by hand many times, giving them a different antique feel than today's. These items survived the earthquake in Noto Town and are now hard to come by. They are in good condition. The second-to-last photo shows a faint white mark that is difficult to see. The black edging is original and is characteristic of lacquerware. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about this. The last photo is of the box containing five dining sets, a photo of the Wajima-nuri and the year of manufacture, and is not included.
