It features a seamless, beautiful form that tapers towards the tip. The wood type is Karelian burl. It has a beautiful gradation, with a complex mix of strong reds and lighter colors. The pattern is also beautifully incorporated, making it a high-quality item. The PG5 has been a long seller for over 50 years, and its light writing feel and fatigue resistance are supported by many people. With Takamura Moku Koubou's wooden barrel customization, the original charm is preserved while adding the warmth and texture unique to wood. Designed to maintain the slim silhouette of the PG5, metal parts are used to a minimum. By utilizing genuine parts, the finished weight is kept to approximately 12-14g. The center of gravity is adjusted to be at the grip, allowing it to naturally fit the fingers and provide a light writing feel. The wooden barrel can be removed and replaced. The surface finish uses a penetrating inorganic glass coating. It penetrates the wood and adheres to the glass, providing high hardness, water resistance, and stain resistance, allowing for long-term, no-maintenance use.
