Koishiwara ware (Koishiwara-yaki) has been produced in Koishiwara Village, now Toho Village, Asakura District, Fukuoka Prefecture, since the Edo period. As folk art pottery rooted in everyday use, it was actively produced in the Showa era, and many kilns continue to make pottery today. This is a beautiful brushed tea bowl from the popular "Keishū-gama" kiln. I had it in stock, but I am listing it now to organize my collection.
