Levi’s® Vintage Clothing is releasing a faithful reproduction of the Levi’s® 'Menlo Cossack Jacket,' which was a favorite of Albert Einstein, globally renowned for his immortal contributions to scientific advancement. Einstein was known for being a minimalist, reportedly not needing socks and requiring little care for his long hair. Regarding coats, he favored the Levi’s® Menlo Cossack Leather Jacket. The original jacket is believed to have been purchased around 1935 when Einstein immigrated to America and was in the process of obtaining citizenship. On July 3, 2016, this jacket was auctioned at Christie's in London, where Levi Strauss & Co. acquired it. The jacket is recorded to have retained a faint scent of sweet pipe tobacco. The jacket features a reproduction of its characteristic rounded collar and cuffs, a short boxy silhouette, and brass buckles with side tightening straps. To commemorate the historic auction, each jacket comes with a special package including a replica of the original auction paddle (number 97) and a photograph of Einstein wearing the jacket. Limited to 800 pieces worldwide, each is individually hand-numbered. Material: ・100% Sheepskin Size: L New Thank you.
