The DF-2 is one of BOSS's earliest distortion pedals, the third model after the original DS-1 and the HM-2. Since the HM-2 is a metal-style distortion, the DF-2 is effectively the second distortion pedal in the series. Simply stepping on the pedal activates the feedback, and the LED indicator flashes during this time. The feedback sound can be adjusted with the OVER TONE knob. The feedback sound is basically composed of overtones one octave higher, and the higher-pitched sounds are emphasized as you turn the knob to the right, with only the sound one octave higher when turned all the way. Tested with battery power, it was in good condition with no noise or crackling. The knobs were removed and cleaned with alcohol. There are some minor scratches, but it's in clean condition.
