【Wooden】German-made Schreiber Soprano Recorder This is a rare wooden soprano recorder, the same German fingering system as those used in elementary schools. A soprano recorder made by Schreiber, a famous high-end bassoon maker. German fingering, and the wood is likely maple, the same as used for bassoons. It shows signs of aging, but is in beautiful condition with very little use. The tone is somewhat unique, with a slightly shakuhachi-like soft sound, becoming clearer in the higher registers. The joints are cork. There doesn't seem to be any leakage, but there is a slight gap in the wood of the mouthpiece. Please check the photos. There doesn't seem to be any air leakage even when viewed from the back. I think this is a rare item that is not often available, so please consider it.
