This is likely an old Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. It's a piece with a vibrant vermillion lacquer and elegant landscape maki-e (sprinkled picture). The varied, allegorical motifs of the e-kawari maki-e (picture-changing maki-e) are all large and delicately drawn, of high quality. The lids have minor scratches as shown in images 15 & 16, and the body has scratches as shown in images 17-19. There is one extra lid. The size is 12cm in diameter and 8.5cm in height.
