Japanese Noh masks appear to be laughing, crying, or even angry depending on the viewing angle. Perhaps it's not the angle, but the viewer's heart that changes what's seen. Or maybe the expression doesn't change, but rather "there is no expression to begin with." This is a Western mask. I feel a similar lack of expression to Japanese Noh masks. Probably a woman? I have no knowledge of the strange musical notes and instruments drawn on the face. There's a price tag sticker that says 45 pounds, but is it really that expensive? Made of paper. Width 13-43 cm, length 22-3 cm. It's old, so there are small scratches and dents. Please note that the scratches are difficult to see in the photos.
