Handmade by Antonio Perez, this is a custom-made charango. It's a one-of-a-kind work of art, a musical instrument of the highest caliber. As you can see from the photos, all the parts are top-of-the-line. I own dozens of charangos, but I've never encountered a sound that surpasses Perez's charangos. Body: Jacaranda Fretboard: Ebony Abalone Shell It has a "passive pickup" so you can play it on stage. Perez is a well-known charango player in Japan with Luz Del Ande, and is also one of the world's most outstanding charango luthiers. He is also known for his collaborative work with Acha (Juan Acha). The sound is exceptional, and once you experience a Perez charango, it's hard to go back to others. While it's a matter of personal preference, I sometimes prefer the sound to Acha's charangos. The design is more art than instrument. I'm now entering graduate school and it seems I won't have much chance to play, so I've decided to sell it in its pristine, new condition rather than letting it sit unused. Charangos are entirely handmade, so there are delicate parts, and please understand that there may be some minor scratches. After it was made, I hand-carried it back instead of shipping it, so you can be assured of its condition. Case included.
