This is a work by glass artist Kazuma Tominaga. Mr. Tominaga honed his skills at the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Workshop in 2017, and after working as an assistant at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art, he has been creating works in Kanazawa since 2023. I purchased this piece at the KOGEI Art Fair Kanazawa, which specializes in contemporary crafts and was held in Kanazawa in 2018. The work's dimensions are 24cm in height and 9cm in maximum diameter, and the technique used is blown glass. A box is included. I am also exhibiting another series by the same artist. Concept "The blue lines and forms that utilize the fluidity of glass absorb the various changes that occur in the process of creation, and are born from it. From the idea of entrusting the creation to the movement and texture of the glass itself, I discern the momentary movement of the glass and shape it, and the "Blue" series is born. While having organic shapes reminiscent of vegetables and fruits, the blue on a white background that is actually impossible, not only emphasizes the whiteness of the work, but also gives the viewer a feeling of being between reality and unreality, an atmosphere like something from another world." #KazumaTominaga #ContemporaryCrafts
