This is a bokken (wooden sword) made of lignum vitae, boasting the world's strongest hardness and weight. It has a solid, weighty feel. In the finishing process, an abrasive was used to achieve a maximum shine. No varnish or other coatings are applied. It has a subtle fragrance. Also known as "green sandalwood," this is a masterpiece of fine wood, with a beautiful deep green color. The shape closely resembles a Japanese sword, a design pursued for many years. As it is handcrafted, please check the details in the photos. It is heavier and thicker than commercially available bokken, making it ideal for practice swings. Due to the Washington Convention, there are import restrictions, and this wood is difficult to obtain in the market. Because of its high hardness, processing is very difficult, and it takes a considerable amount of time to produce a single bokken. It changes to a deep green color under ultraviolet light, but this bokken was exposed to UV light to adjust the color, aiming to create a black sword.
