(＠＾＾＠) A fine film adaptation of Ishizaka Yojiro's novel of the same name, made with the staff and cast of Nikkatsu's youth films of the time. It's also interesting that Toshio Ide, who wrote the screenplay for the director Masahisa Imai's version of "The Blue Mountains," was in charge again. This is a good film filled with the refreshing charm of fresh stars like Sayuri Yoshinaga, Mitsuo Hamada, and Hideki Takahashi. The director is Katsumi Nishikawa, who can be called the emperor of remakes.
