This item was given to my mother by her tea ceremony (Urasenke) teacher when she was studying tea ceremony. I believe the material is resin or plastic. I don't practice tea ceremony, so I don't know the details. The handle is removable and is inserted into the grooves on the main body for use. The design of the golden wind chimes drawn on a black background is lovely. It was carefully stored at my parents' house, but I am selling it to declutter. It is an old item, but to the untrained eye, there are no noticeable flaws, and I think it can still be used. It has been stored in a place away from direct sunlight in my home.
