After graduating from Kano High School of Art in Gifu Prefecture, He studied under Kohei Kato (Living National Treasure) and Takuo Kato (Living National Treasure). After completing the Ceramics Department of Tajimi Technical High School and as a research student at the Ceramic Research Institute, he studied under Matajiro Kawamura. He apprenticed at the Rosanjin Kitaoji pottery studio. Built a kiln in Kasugai City in 1977. Selected for the Tokai Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
