This is a ready-made kimono my daughter purchased for everyday wear. She wore it once or twice while shopping, and it's in almost the same condition as when it was purchased. It's a single-layered kimono with a bat-wing collar, so even beginners can wear it easily, and it would be useful for kimono dressing classes. The koshi-ate (hip padding) appears to be made of ordinary bleached cotton, but the shoulder and back padding seems to be made of old fabric, and the quality is different from the bleached cotton. There are almost no signs of damage, scratches, or stains on the outer fabric, but there are stains on the back padding. Please check photos 8 and 19. Also, there are a few yellowish stains on the koshi-ate (hip padding) bleached cotton, although they are not very noticeable. There are yellowish stains on the lining of the bleached cotton, near the bottom center, but they do not show through to the front. This is a single-layered kimono for everyday wear, suitable for shopping, tea parties with friends, or for beginners learning how to dress in a kimono. It can still be worn, so I hope someone will wear it. Material: It's a wool kimono, but the texture is good, so I think it probably has silk mixed in.
