This is an early 1980s SH-PG1b Pearly Gates pickup from Seymour Duncan, when the company began focusing on distribution. It's from the "long-leg, big logo" era. There are rumors that it was originally a product of the Duncan Custom Shop. The baseplate sticker says "PGBJ," which means PG (Pearly Gates) B (for Bridge) J (made by Maricela Juarez). She later became the manager of the Duncan Custom Shop and was a highly skilled individual. Resistance: Approximately 7.9 Lead wire: Approximately 25cm Although it's a bridge pickup, it works very well in the neck position. Operation has been confirmed. This pickup aims to replicate Billy Gibbons' (ZZ Top) original PAF. While the current version is good, this one has a smoother tone and a more vintage feel. Except for not being a 4-conductor pickup, I believe this one surpasses the current version in every way. Especially when it comes to the harmonics produced when picking hard, I think this is the closest to an old PAF among Duncan pickups.
