This is a wooden body ballpoint pen by Kinmokusei, made with Kasuga Sugi (Japanese cedar) using the Ukuri (wood grain raising) technique and finished with domestic Urushi lacquer. The contrast of light and shadow created by the Ukuri process and the Urushi finish are its defining features. It was made to order. It has only been used for test writing since purchase.
