Handmade wooden *ofuda* (votive tablet) stand made from Japanese cypress. I created this with the intention of beautifully displaying my own *kamidana* (Shinto home altar). I've made several similar items, hoping someone else will find them useful. Each one is handcrafted with care. I hope you like it. Approximate sizes are as follows: Base: 7 x 27 x 2 cm Torii (Shinto gate): 19 x 16 cm (height x width) The 27 cm width of the base is based on the size that can be shipped via Yu-Packet Post. Shipping costs increase significantly if it's longer. The torii is modeled after the Isuzu River torii at Ise Jingu Shrine. The torii itself is simply inserted into the base. By reversing the front and back, you can change its use to an "ofuda stand" or "offering display," as shown in photos 3 and 8. The back panel, which holds the *ofuda*, is secured with screws. If you decide on a permanent use, you can further strengthen it by gluing it with wood glue. Photos 8, 9, and 10 show the base reversed and used as an offering display. Photo 11 shows everything that will be shipped. *Ofuda* and offering items are not included. The photos are for size and shape reference. The item shipped will be a similar product. I will use recycled packaging materials. If you purchase multiple items and they can be shipped together, I will reduce the shipping cost accordingly.
