Philip Laureston belonged to the BABBACOMBE kiln in the Torquay region of the UK, which was founded in 1952 and closed in 2002. Each piece is handmade, so the shape and facial expressions are different for each one. The production period is from the late 1970s to the 1980s. Currently, as vintage items, their number is limited, and they are the envy of collectors around the world. Cute animal works include Lisa Larson (Sweden), Hagen Linaker (USA), and Jennie Winstandley (UK), but Philip Laureston's works are miniature in size, fitting in the palm of your hand, and are characterized by their cute expressions. *Regarding the production period, Back stamps are not found on early (1970s) works, but the letters Philip Laureston and numbers are engraved on those from the mid-period onwards.
