This is a nylon quilted jacket. I used it more like a half coat in my outfits. I wore it over a suit jacket, focusing on the roomy armholes and ensuring the suit jacket didn't peek out from the hem. Even though it's quilted, it's not down-filled, so it won't keep you warm in the dead of winter. I always wore a wool scarf with it. *It might be just right on a crowded train...* There's a zippered pocket on the upper left inside, above the brand tag. The collar is a darker corduroy brown than the body. Piping in the same color on the pocket openings and cuffs. Stains, tears, odors, etc...
