This is a formal suit set, perfect for a formal occasion. I received it as a gift because the previous owner no longer wears it, but it was too tight for me, as I sometimes wear a size 11. I am selling it. It was purchased around the year 2000 and worn twice. It has shoulder pads, but they are not overly thick, so they don't particularly emphasize the shoulders. Although it is not a branded item, the fabric and sewing are of a higher quality and more meticulous construction than what you find today. The jacket is made of a smooth velvet fabric with gold thread embroidery of roses, and the buttons are very luxurious. Formal suits can be difficult to find when you need one, and even if you do find one, they can be very expensive, which often makes people hesitate to buy them. Having one on hand is reassuring for a sunny day (except in summer). The jewel buttons used cost around 500 yen each. Even if you were to reuse the buttons alone, it would be a bargain. There is no major damage or stains, but I found one repair mark on the lining near the center back of the jacket (photo 8).
