I've only used it a few times, so I don't think there are any stains. It has a hood, and you can put each foot in separately with buttons, so your baby can sleep warm. My baby slept soundly and was very warm. If your baby doesn't like the hood, you can just put their head on top of it, and it becomes a pillow! It was convenient to wrap the baby in this, hold them sideways to sleep, and then put them down on the futon, where they would continue to sleep soundly.
