Shipping will be unavailable from March 8th to 12th. This belonged to my mother, who was a master of the Hanayagi school of dance. It's a pale beige color with a leaf pattern. The background of the pattern has a blackish tint. Please check the photos. I believe it's called a Nagoya obi. It's constructed with a wider section, presumably for the otaiko (drum) knot, and a narrower section to wrap around the body. There are some areas with light soiling and what appear to be weaving flaws, but they are likely unnoticeable when worn. There are also fold creases. I think it's beautiful, but it has been stored for a long time. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details or if you are looking for a perfect item.
