This is a neck that was originally on a Fender CS Stratocaster. I purchased it around 1998 at a musical instrument store in Osaka. The reason for the "CS?" is because although the body had a CS mark, I couldn't find the same mark on the neck. Both the body and the neck have been refinished once, so the CS mark may have been removed during that process. (I forgot where the CS mark was located when I bought it) Because I planned to use it for many live performances, I changed to a poly finish during the refinishing process for strength. (It may have been a thicker lacquer) There is a possibility that the neck was replaced with a non-CS neck at the time of purchase. Judging from the parts, I believe the neck was also CS, but since I have no proof, I've listed it as CS?. The neck joint has the markings "REC" and "APR 1992" (manufacturing date?). The tuners and tuner bushings are original. The string guide has been replaced with a Montreux one. The frets have been replaced with Jescar stainless steel frets. (There is no visible wear.) The neck joint plate has a V serial number, but according to experts, because it's a guitar from a fairly old era, both CS and American Vintage guitars used V serial numbers at the time, so there's no problem. The fingerboard has been treated with beeswax once a year. It's not too moist, nor too dry, and I think the condition is not bad. At the neck joint screw holes, I smoothed the rough wood fibers at the screw entry points with wood putty because I didn't like the feel. (No problem in use) The truss rod has plenty of room. 10-46 regular strings It can be adjusted for forward bow, straight, and back bow. There is a dent on the headstock side of the nut caused by the strings. (No problem in use) 【Specifications】 ・ Slab rosewood fingerboard ・ Fingerboard radius = 7.25 ・ Neck = Slim to normal, D-shape (subjective) ・ Includes a bone nut suitable for 10-46 gauge strings Prioritizes playability and pitch, set to a slightly buzzing low action.
