This is a Canadian-made Cowichan knit sweater. It's a thick, full-zip type, making it easy to put on and take off, and can be worn as an outerwear piece in the dead of winter. While many are oversized, this one has a chest size that's easy for Japanese people to wear, so you can wear it without looking bulky even if you go for an oversized look. It has a collar to cover the neck area from the cold, and also has waist pockets, making it a valuable piece for this winter. ● Origin: Hand-knitted sweaters originating from the Cowichan people, indigenous to Vancouver Island, Canada. ● Material and Features: Typically made with undegreased wool that retains the natural oils (lanolin) found in the raw wool, and knitted with thick yarn. This provides high water resistance and cold protection. I've used a pilling cutter, but some pills remain. There are no other noticeable stains or damage, but please consider purchasing with the understanding that this is a used item.
