The entire process of making, coating, and baking is done by Japanese craftsmen. While regular enamel tableware is finished with two coats, PLATCHAMP uses a special glass glaze and finishes with three coats at high temperatures. The base coat is carefully applied one by one using "dipping" (immersion), followed by two cover coats, and the enamel tableware is baked at high temperatures after each coating process. * Thickness of the material While overseas enamel tableware is approximately 0.4mm thick, PLATCHAMP uses "0.8mm enamel steel plate," which is about twice as thick. This thickness allows the plate to be reheated in an oven toaster, although it cannot be used in a microwave. This is especially useful for maintaining the temperature of cooled food when reheating it on a barbecue grill or "direct fire" in a camping setting.
