The base colors are two: blue-green and yellow. (The white parts look like cotton.) This is a masterpiece created by hand-twisting silk threads from silkworms, dyeing them with natural dyes, and hand-weaving them with two types of natural branches used as weft threads. Some of the warp threads have lame, creating a beautiful contrast. Although it's hard to tell from the photos, the overall color is predominantly green. Silk is also used for the threads. Because the thread twisting is all handmade, the threads are a bit thick, and the fabric is woven firmly. Wooden branches are used as weft threads. Two different types of branches from different plants are used: thick and thin. The thin branches are wrapped with the raw silk material before twisting. When wrapped, the white of the thin branches and the brown of the thick branches create a contrast of two natural colors, giving a good color flavor. There is no difference between the front and back, and it appears to be usable on both sides. (See photos 1 and 2) Because natural branches are used, there may be parts that are not perfectly flat or straight.
