【Product Description】 This is a replacement for the NEC/TOKIN Proadlizer used in some PlayStation 3 models. The parts can be installed neatly without the need to tilt the components or shave the board. It has a recessed shape suitable for installation with a soldering iron. Six 0805-size MLCCs and three 7343-size conductive polymer capacitors (all non-branded) are added in parallel. We have confirmed that four Proadlizers on a PS3 that would not start due to a power supply issue with the RSX were replaced with this product, and the console functioned normally. Although the 7343 capacitors are selected from among the better quality non-branded options, please be aware that there is a risk of operational failure and long-term instability due to their non-branded nature. The 7343 capacitors need to be 2.5V 470uF or higher and have low ESR/ESL. The ESR of the Proadlizer is less than 2mΩ. For this reason, we have selected capacitors with a nominal ESR of 7mΩ @ 100kHz, which we consider to be within the acceptable range. Approximate ESR measurements of randomly selected components are as follows: 135mΩ @ 100Hz 25mΩ @ 1kHz 10mΩ @ 10kHz (0.6Vrms) [Measured with FNIRSI LCR-ST1] The combination of 0805 multilayer ceramic capacitors is as follows: 47, 22, 10, 4.7, 2.2, 1 [uF] By installing these, improvements in characteristics from 1 to 10MHz are expected. 【Usage Notes】 Before removing the Proadlizer, diagnose the faulty part by checking the SYSCON communication log. If you do not understand this, you should not attempt to work on the Proadlizer. There may be other causes of failure.
