This seal is a product developed by our store, so it is made by polishing each piece of seal material one by one, so the size and shape are slightly different. The seal engraving is a work of art carefully created by a skilled seal engraver after hand-writing the seal font. (Currently, most commercially available round seals are machine-carved, so if you engrave the same font on seal materials of the same diameter, the seal face will be almost the same.) The seal font, Tensho (seal script), is a font from about 2300 years ago, during the Qin Shi Huang era in China, and is said to be the most beautiful font. Seal engraving is a work of art, so the design of the seal face includes techniques such as tapping in addition to carving, and the jaggedness and subtle chipping of the kanji and frame on the seal face are part of the design and are not defects.
