This is the second generation Yamaha Silent Bass. The latest model is the third generation (SLB300), making this one generation older. It can be played at a low volume, making it suitable for quiet practice or for use with an amplifier in a band setting. It folds up compactly, making it easier to transport compared to a double bass. The SLB200 initially used ebony for the fingerboard, but later switched to rosewood. After contacting the manufacturer with the serial number, I confirmed that this particular instrument has an ebony fingerboard. Currently, the SLB300 Pro model uses ebony. I have checked the sound and EQ operation by connecting it to an amplifier before listing it. It has been used, so there are scratches and paint dents. It is not as pristine as a new instrument, but there are no issues that affect playability. String height preferences vary depending on playing style, so please adjust it after purchase. The case has some fraying, but it is not severely damaged and does not affect portability. An extension frame (BEF2) and a dedicated stand are included.
