It's more natural and balanced than the Custom Shop '54 PU and Lindy Fralin Real '54, which have a strong artificial bell-like sound and a slightly unsatisfying mid-range. Especially the richness of the mid-range, the natural bell-like tone, and the way the tone changes with the strength of the picking are truly vintage.
